Hi! I'm a passionate marketing specialist, and storyteller.

Hi! I'm Connor Ripple, and I am a technologist and digital storyteller. I am interested in everything electronic with cutting edge tech: from cars, to SAAS software. In my free time, I am going on hikes, taking photos, listening to music,  finding new spots to eat, learning new languages, as well as fitness.

I am passionate about financial wellness education, which is why I created my TikTok account; to share time and money-saving "hacks" for young professionals and students. I also support this mission through my work at Bold . org, a startup aimed at eliminating student debt through scholarships, as well as Handshake, a job platform geared towards students, and others.

I am studied Communication at UCLA, and graduated in Spring 2023. I work in marketing,  also do brand deals for social media and create UGC (user-generated content).

My Undergrad experience

In high school I loved Chemistry, and thought that it was what I wanted to do, but in reality, I had no idea what I wanted to study. Very quickly, I realized that it wasn't for me. After reflecting on a lot of the things I did in high school (my internship with a film agency, a marketing internship with a sustainability group, starting a YouTube channel with 5M views in two years...) I knew that telling stories was what I loved doing most.

At UCLA, I received a BA in Communications in June 2023, with a minor in Digital Humanities and Film. During my undergraduate education, I became involved in several student advocacy groups, including the UCLA Financial Supports Commission, Cultural Affairs Commission (both social media manager roles) as well as the On Campus Student Housing Council on the UCLA Residential Life team (student government).

To explore my passion with social media, I started a club (with my friends Savina Nasiri and Sergio Garcia) called UCLA Reach which is a social media group that hosted training sessions on being social media content creators while meeting with marketing experts at companies like Disney and more. I also created content for UCLA's Social Media team as freelance roles for certain campaigns, as well as UCLA ambassador partnership roles on social media. I later went on to help kickstart a creative collective called Uprising, sourcing social media talent from students and creatives at UCLA, USC, and in the San Diego area.

I was also a part of the Student Alumni Association for two years. The first year, I was the Strategic Engagement Director, and the my second year, I was the Entertainment Networking Night Director, responsible for putting together the largest networking event in Southern California.

I did all of these roles while managing multiple jobs, and networking throughout it all. I enjoy meeting new people, and working with teams to create something bigger than myself. I chose the Communication major to network with other talented Marketers and people who also love telling stories and making an impact with these stories. (Unfortunately UCLA does not have an undergrad program for business or marketing, but I had free tuition at UCLA).
